SC Spear Pig (Cup Type)
Spear pigs with cup type sealing elements are manufactured with a steel mandrel body, a tapered spear nose, and polyurethane sealing cups. They are primarily used for pipeline cleaning and for pushing loose deposits such as wax, sand, and scale through the line. The spear nose helps break into and move debris ahead of the pig, while the cups maintain a seal and keep the pig centered.
Optional configurations include different cup profiles and hardness grades, bypass ports for jetting, brush attachments, magnets, transmitter or pinger cavities, pulling eyes, and custom diameters or lengths to suit specific pigging requirements.
Optional configurations include dual end coatings, bullet nose or double nose designs, pulling ropes or cables, transmitter or pinger cavities, jetting bypass ports, magnets, and custom diameters or lengths to suit specific pigging requirements. Standard light density foam is typically rated at approximately 1.2 lbs/ft³, with alternative light density options available upon request.
SD Spear Pig (Disc Type)
Spear pigs with disc type sealing elements are manufactured with a steel mandrel body, a tapered spear nose, and polyurethane sealing and guiding discs. They are commonly used for pipeline cleaning, debris removal, and product displacement. The disc arrangement provides stable support in the pipe and works well through bends and fittings.
Available options and configurations include sealing and guiding disc combinations, bypass ports, brush or scraper attachments, magnets, transmitter or pinger cavities, and custom diameters or lengths to suit specific pigging requirements.
Available options and configurations include double dish or double nose designs, pulling ropes or cables, transmitter or pinger cavities, jetting bypass ports, magnets, and custom diameters or lengths to suit specific pigging requirements.
